Engineered straining solutions — selected against your flow, line size, fluid, filtration requirement and allowable pressure drop. Not a catalogue lookup.
A strainer is only correct once it is matched to the actual service. The same line size can call for a Y strainer, a basket, or a duplex arrangement depending on dirt loading, hydraulic headroom and how the plant expects to maintain it. Every solution below starts from the same engineering sequence.
The selection sequence applied on every enquiry. Each solution page below shows how it is adapted to that specific engineering problem.
Each page answers a different engineering question. Start with the constraint that governs your application.
Protecting control valves, flow meters, heat exchangers, steam traps and nozzles from pipe scale, weld slag and rust carried in the line.
Suction-side protection for rotating equipment, where strainer pressure drop directly affects the pressure available at the inlet.
Balancing filtration rating, screen open area and flow geometry where hydraulic headroom or pumping energy is the governing constraint.
Twin-chamber arrangements that allow basket cleaning while the process keeps running — specified at design stage, not added later.
Straining where pressure class, design temperature and material qualification govern the body, cover, screen and bolting selection.
High-flow, large-bore lines where fabricated construction, screen area, weight and maintenance access drive the design.
Material selection and construction for sour, chloride-bearing and chemically aggressive service — including NACE-compliant options.
Non-standard geometry, connections, screens or arrangements engineered to a specific piping layout and project specification.
Send your flow rate, line size, fluid, pressure, temperature and filtration requirement — our engineering team will recommend a configuration.
